Is it weird if someone doesn’t have a middle name?

My aunt does not have one.  She is the only one (and the baby) of 7 that did not get one. She always felt so left out about it and adopted her confirmation name as her middle name.

My dad, aunt, and uncle don’t have middle names. It has created some issues with paperwork as some places make up middle initials then they can’t be found in the system because it doesn’t match up with the no middle initial/name that they don’t have

My mom doesn't have one. 
But it has caused some issues when it comes to medical things. 
She always uses her maiden name as her middle now because of all the screw ups between her and someone else who has the same name.

My husband and none of his sibling have middle names. He is from England and it was never an issue when he lived there. We live in the US now and it has been an issue when filling out pertinent forms (medical, insurance, license, banking, etc.). 
Sometimes there is not an option to leave the middle name section blank when filling out electronic forms in the US. He has been made to  place an X in the middle name portion which then caused issues down the road. It’s definitely not the end of the world, but mainly an annoyance when it comes to dealing with stuff like that. Just something to consider if you live in the states.

My grandma’s first three kids have middle names, but her last three kids do not. My dad is one of the kids who does not have a middle name, and I have always thought it’s very strange, and almost like she got tired of picking names for kids. 😂
My SIL does not have a middle name, and she always has felt left out. My MIL told us she didn’t give her a middle name because she figured she would use her maiden name as her middle once she got married... well guess what? My SIL is not married yet, and I think that’s such an old fashioned way of thinking. 
I also have no idea how people would only want to give their babies one name. There are SO many great names out there to choose from, why pick just one?

My mom doesn't have one, I have 2 middle names and my wife has one. Our twins will have one (or two, we aren't settled yet 😅).
It's completely up to you, I see nothing wrong with not giving your child a middle name 🤷‍♀️

I'm 25 and haven't had one ever. Its weird trying to explain it to people who think you're just trying to mess with them or think you're lying to them about not having one and "just dont want to tell them" -that was middle and high school for me btw, but no it isn't weird

My grandfather doesn't have a middle name and I also have cousins that don't either. My female cousins just made their maiden name their middle name when they got married. My husband and I also have friends that couldn't decide on a middle name for their son so they settled on just J for his middle name 🤷🏽‍♀️ all completely up to you.
