for the mommies with babies less than a year for their 1st christmas are u buying gifts for them ? me and my bf want to buy our baby alot of stuff but our family said wait until their older

I got my daughter stuff for her first Christmas back in 2019 it was small things like toys she would actually play with nothing to big or fancy

I bought my daughter some stuff last year. She was my first baby and was about 4 months at Christmas. I felt like a huge dumbass wrapping all her gifts to just unwrap them myself the next day 😂 but tbh I’d do it all again for the next baby lol.

My baby will be a little over a month old! It's her first Christmas and even though she won't remember it, I want to make it special for our little family. I'm not sure what I will get her yet, probably something more sentimental for the future or a collection of favorite books. I'm also looking forward to getting a stocking for her!

My fiancé and I chose to keep Christmas presents to a minimum the first year for a few reasons. The first and most obvious one, is that our son wasn’t making memories at that age nor did he have comprehension of why he was getting toys in the first place, secondly we knew we weren’t the only ones buying for him, so even though my fiancé and I only bought our son 4 toys, we knew he was getting much much more than that from friends and family. And lastly, our son’s birthday is a little under 2 weeks after Christmas so we knew in just a short time he’d be getting even more gifts. I know that last one may not be applicable to you. But just keep in mind that you can still make Christmas memorable for you without spending a lot of money and/or bombarding your LO with a ton of new toys. I promise you they will be quickly forgotten. My son is almost 2 and this year we’re going to do the same last year - 1 “big” toy and a few smaller items, maybe a book, and an outfit or two and call it good.

We only got our kiddo some sensory bath balls and a pajama. He was too little to know any different and really didn’t need stuff anyways.

All im getting is keepsake things, got a snowman teddy with my 1st Christmas and a santa sack and stocking both personalized and matching outfits for him and big sister, they don’t need a lot because they don’t know any different i will probably get one toy to wrap as well (looking at getting kick and play piano mat) he will be 4 months

My daughter was around 10 months for her first Christmas. I only spent around $100 but it was way overboard. She got tons of stuff from family. By the time Christmas came she could careless about opening anything. She didn’t get the concept and just wasn’t interested. This year she will be 22 months and she has a little sister who will be around 6 months. I’m definitely not going overboard this year. Probably get each of them 2 or 3 small things and be done.
