Okay FTMs anyone else getting tried of people telling you about how certain things should be/feel like?

My friend who had a baby last January tells me I’m not having Braxton Hicks because they don’t hurt. However when I explain the feeling to my midwife and my SIL who is a nurse they say it is Braxton Hicks.

I’m soooo tired of “just wait until....” 😂 I have to bite my tongue every time. I’m like no shit things get more uncomfortable as you progress and oh really I had no idea the baby will keep me up at night once she’s born. Lol people just can’t help themselves.

Second time mom and also super annoyed by comments like just wait until baby’s here and you have to do such and such with a newborn and toddler too... like oh really that’s how it works my first born doesn’t just disappear?!?!

I’m currently pregnant with my first and my ob gyn said some women have them and for some women they hurt some they don’t but they are the same thing as normal contractions but you don’t progress into labor I tend to only listen to myself and medical professionals on things like that and I’m that one person who asks every question there is way in advance I like to plan ahead. My mom is great but she tells me things that aren’t accurate about my health even not with associated with pregnancy so I have already learned to just listen them ask a medical professional. One of the biggest things my mom got wrong was my blood type the thought I was AB positive for a long time like my biological father (step dad adopted when I was a baby I call him my dad and I call the other guy my biological father or by his name I’ve never met him) but after 19 years I found out I’m O negative and my mom said that had to be wrong because that’s not how genetics work and I just sighed and listen all I can really do

Or when they ask you how you’re doing and you tell them you’re not feeling so hot, etc. and they say.... “oh honey, it only gets worse” like wow thanks I never knew

Not a first time mom here, but just take everyone’s words with a grain of salt.
Braxton Hicks feel different for everyone, some people don’t even have them.
Listen to your midwife and your gut!

Braxton Hicks confuse the crap out of me. Articles say they shouldn’t hurt. I’ve had them so bad I’m on all fours on the floor in the middle of the night but they don’t consider them real contractions I guess? So...they must be Braxton Hicks? I have no idea. I definitely am either getting real ones OR BH and either way they hurt like hell.
