Flying with a baby
We’ve had a very unexpected death in the family and we will be flying 2 hours back to our hometown for the funeral.
Our daughter is 8 months and she’s a very good baby. Only cries when she’s hungry but the thing is, she is not a baby that likes to be snuggled or held. She will be in our lap but she is very fidgety and hates being stuck in one spot. I can already see the breakdown she’ll have being constantly held for 2 hours. She’s never been the kind of baby to fall asleep in your arms either. She hates being cradled or rocked. She usually puts herself to sleep in her own bed and she’s used to that routine. (Which is great until you have to travel lol)
I’m always thinking about others and I don’t want to be the one on the flight with a screaming baby, even if it’s only 2 hours. Flying right now isn’t ideal but.
Any ideas to distract her for 2 hours? I’m planning to feed her a bottle at take off to help with her ears popping. Anything other suggestions are appreciated!
