No period after coming off the pill and BFN on test.

Its now been one month after stopping the pill expected my period today and nothing. BFN on my easy home hcg strip test I did yesterday. I did have really sore boobs Saturday thru Monday evening. Should I retest in a couple of days? Is it possible to conceive 1st month after coming off bc?
