Mastitis?

4th day of breast feeding, my right breast is hot and they’re both swollen since she only eats so much, how will I know if I have mastitis, how do I fix this? Feels like my boobs are full and lumpy also painful

Put hot compress ws on boobs, massage them, and take hot shower as running hot water on them while massaging. And let baby eat every time baby wants to. And do those warm things especially before baby starts to eat brcause it gets milk flowing and baby gets it more easyly and takes more actually. And if you want to soothe your boobs for a little while, put a raw cold cabbage leaf on it (there is no science behind it, but the moistness and coldness of it feels good, and soothes and also it has a perfect shpe to put into a bra for a while. 
You probably don't have mastitis yet, brcause it is day 4, it is just your milk kicking in. The engorgement feeling (I don't know the term for it in english, basically boobs really full) goes away in few days.
Your question was not being sure bout mastitis. With mastitis you have a fever. And that condition you have can turn to mastitis if you just leave it be.

When milk finally came in, mine would get hot randomly after feeds but now they don’t anymore (8 days PP). Also milk will regulate, and then they won’t be so full. If you get a fever though, it could be the start of mastitis. If you’re worried though, you can always just go to the doctor. Good luck.

Could be starting. When I had it it was in one boob and it was extremely painful where the infection was. I got a fever of 103.5. I called the doctor and told her my symptoms and she prescribed me antibiotics. You need a hot compress and to message it out along with antibiotics. If it’s mastitis you’ll get a fever.

could be the start .. i had that then i got a really high fever .. usually it didn’t hurt to feed at all and then it would burn all the time
