Birth announcements?

Just curious who is doing birth announcements? I’m a FTM and want to honor my son with an announcement, plus have it for the baby book and such. 
But it’s also so close to Christmas that I wonder if I should ‘two birds one stone’ and just do a Christmas card w our newborn photos instead? 
Or order both?? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ll do Christmas cards only but I have seen Christmas cards where the back was used as a birth announcement and the front was Christmas

I've been having the same debate. I'm thinking I might do both, but mail them together in the same envelope in early December.

We did birth announcement cards and are going to do Christmas cards as well- it’s our family tradition of Christmas cards-

We were going to do an announcement but thought the same thing that were close to Christmas. So we're going to get some family photos done to add on a Christmas card with some of her newborn photos!

We don’t do Christmas cards so we did newborn announcements/ thank you cards from the shower (I’m that person who procrastinated and sent them 2 months later 🤦🏼‍♀️)
