Pumping before birth?

Okay mamas so I’ll be 40w tomorrow and no signs of her coming. Would you recommend trying to pump colostrum to collect and induce labor?

I would try hand expressing, much more stimulation and you won’t really get much with a pump since colostrum is so thick

Honestly , the baby is much more effective at removing breastmilk from the breast , you most likely won’t get much of anything but you can try. Nipple stimulation is more about pinching pulling rolling in ur fingers than pumping tho

No I honestly am all for colustrum straight to baby. Sutdies have shown it can help establish supplies faster with baby has it directly from breast.
I would be trying curb walking. Yoga ball bouncing. Spicy food(which I dont think  that one works) sex with cumung inside to soften cervix. More walking. Walking walking bwhahaha.  The day i went in labor with my son I walked for 6 hours straight on black friday haha fhat noght my water broke.

My midwives recommended hand expression, the  save the colostrum  (only a few drops is fine) and freeze it. At least it's still available for when baby comes and it stimulates the release of oxytocin. I cannot find a negative scholarly article on hand expression so I'd say it's pretty safe.

I’d definitely try I always pump before having a baby the pump will still work and you uyy u st freeze the colostrum!!!
