I requested the IUD to my ob/gyn but she refused to give me one due to the fact that I'm not married yet and have the higher chance to change sexual partner. And because of my heavy period, she prescribed a medication called Visanne (often used to treat endometriosis) but she also said that it can be used for contraception.

Does anyone know or have any similar experience? And if so, how effective is Visanne as contraception? Since the production company listed is not as a method of birth control!
