My daughters fell off 5-6 days after birth. It looked the same and I was told it was fine just to keep it clean to prevent infection

My son’s looked like this once the stump fell off. It’s just remnants of the umbilical cord, per his pediatrician. It will dry out and fall off (probably in crumbles).

My son is 5 weeks and his belly button got bloody. You can clean it with warm water and get right in there.  His umbilical cord didn’t fall off until a week after birth. 4 days seems early for it to be off already.
