So I have a completely insane dog that will completely destroy my home, does not listen, is 80lb a pit bull/black lab/boarder collie. He pulls, does whatever he wants, plays rough, is horrible in social situations, honestly he’s just a horrible dog. Well I’ve got him a little under control through the work I’ve been doing with him , he’s not my dog he’s my boyfriends dog and I am terrified to even have my baby around him can you blame me ?? This dog will come up to you and punch you and pee on you and then walk away, I really want to just give him away and I have for a couple months now because he is out of control. My boyfriend works all day and I’ve gotten the dog to listen to me more over he past couple months but it’s gotten to the point where my boufriend dosentsee an issue and thinks that he’s always right and it’s just the dog being a puppy... but hes almost a year old. I finally got him to take his dog to the vet after 11 months, I don’t know what to do I’ve tried vet and trainer advice nothing works... I can’t have my kid around this dog because I’m terrified he’s going to get too excited or something and possible kill my baby but I’m “ overreacting” and he doesn’t see the severity of it and it’s breaking us up as a couple. I don’t know what to do but I’m so close to just leaving because he doesn’t work with the dog or anything and he dog won’t listen to him at all we can’t even go on a date without having the house destroyed... I’ve had enough and he doesn’t care and I don’t know what to do. I can’t even give him affection or be intimate without the dog screaming and pounding on us I’m so ready to get rid of him. I can’t deal with this and a newborn soon...PLEASE I’m looking to give this one more shot any advice ...????
