So after my 39.5 week appointment today, doc was like whoa, you’re 6 cm and 90% effaced. I’m like what?! Apparently I’ve been painlessly contracting. She recommended I head to hospital tonight or tomorrow to have my water broken. I would have to hope my labor then progresses on its own because I’m not getting an epidural (health reasons) so I don’t want pitocin (had with my daughter and it was a nightmare).

I called the delivering doctor for tonight and he was so nonchalant about it and said I could definitely just wait until I get painful, regular contractions or water breaks. HELP!! opinions on what to do? This is my second baby. Obviously don’t want to give birth in the car 😂 hospital is about 30 minutes away
