Excessive Breastfeeding?

LO is on my breast every 30min. She says "boob" and wants to nurse. Though there are times when she does it for attention, comfort. Sometimes I don't mind and others I say not now and she cries. I don't mind nursing until she's 2 but I think she over doing it. Anyone dealing with this? Do I confuse her if at times I refuse?

Mine is the same it’s constant. I try to be out and busy as much as possible we go for a long walk, go to the park, play on her bike. She is fine as long as we aren’t just on the floor playing that’s when it’s every 25 min probably because it’s so accessible

Is it a new things or have they always been like it? As long as they’re eating food as well it isn’t a ‘problem’. If you need a little space then try offering water, milk, snacks etc when they go for the boob, also just offering cuddles and closeness can work. Mine is on the boob a lot at the moment as she’s cutting her bottom molars and has obviously hated it. I just go with the flow unless I’m all boobed out then I do snacks and distractions!

I haven't dealt with it personally because my son self weaned at 13 months, but my SIL is currently going through this with her 23-month old daughter.
What she's doing is offering a substitute before breast, like cow milk or cheese or another snack. She'll also ask her daughter how bad she wants the boob, and if she says 'bad bad!' then she gets it 😂
