Am I crazy for wanting to meet his parents?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a few months now, and I’m kinda bothered that the holidays are coming up and I haven’t even met his family...am I crazy?

I guess it depends how serious you are. My SO met some of my family the first week we were dating. I like to get a feel on how the dynamic is before I get too invested.

It’s been a couple of months, he may not be that serious about you yet, often times when guys are serious about you they want to introduce you to everyone as their girlfriend, they want to scream it from the mountain top, but when he’s taking things slow in getting to know you And figuring out if you are truly who he wants to be with, he may not be there yet. Often times we seek approval or acceptance from our peers or parents or whatever it may be. He may not be down with that yet. Or he may not be sure about you or he may not be that serious about you yet. Honestly I say either give it time or have a discussion with him, me and those are basically your options that are walking away. Can’t make that decision for you that’s up to you. But honestly I would talk to him and say hey the holidays are coming up did you want to get together with our families, it may be too soon and it may freak them out, but at least you’ll know I won’t be wasting your time if he decides to run the other way. If he says yeah why not kind of thing then go with the flow either way. I think his reaction will tell you everything you need to know if he’s really down with it or not. Good luck either way

So my husband and I were friends a year before dating. He was really serious and introduced me immediately to his family. I was much more reserved and it took probably 6 months lol. We were adults living on our own and it was a big deal for my family. Also I didn't want to scare him immediately and introduced them over a long period of time separately.

Are you going to see them for the holidays and you want to meet beforehand? A couple months doesn’t seem too strange to me, especially if he doesn’t live with them. Are you guys serious? Has it been discussed that things are exclusive and you’re on the same page with your relationship? Does he have a good relationship with them? He could be assuming it’s too early to introduce you or assume you don’t want to. I think it would be nice to meet them before seeing them for the holidays. Just so the holidays aren’t a meet and greet
