hey guys!! i really wanna know if anyone has had a similar experience to this or knows what might be happening.

for background, i’m 20 years old. when i was 12-16 years old, my periods were very regular, mostly painless, kinda clumpy, and lasted exactly five days every time. i started on the depo shot when i was 16 and by the time i was 17 i stopped having periods altogether. when i was 18, i switched from that to nexplanon since it’s the same hormone and i wouldnt have to worry about it as often. i had an extremely stressful childhood up until may when i moved across the country from my family.

a month after i got settled in, i had my first period in four years, but this time it wasnt clumpy and i had lots of cramps. i went to a doctor who said that i’m not pregnant and don’t have any infections or anything. since then, ive had them a bit irregularly and it’s gotten less painful, but each has been lasting at least seven days.

has anyone had this happen? my roommates and i have been joking that, since i’m not under any active emotional stress anymore, i’m having a second puberty (which would make sense kinda, since my breasts also grew from basically nonexistent to a solid c-cup since we got here) but i was wondering if anyone else on nexplanon or depo has had this happen?
