Haakaa Breast Pump?

Question

Has anyone used this before?
Is it as good as I’ve read? 
I know it’s not expensive but still don’t want to buy it if it’s just going to sit there and not get used 😂
All opinions much appreciated! And any other suggestions for pumps? 
I had the MAM one with my son and didn’t really love it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I didn’t use my haaka as a pump, but I did suction it on the opposite side while I was nursing because both sides would let down at the same time and I didn’t want to lose any milk into a towel or burp cloth. 
The brand Elvie also makes catch cups now to put in your bra that are the size and shape of a breast pad but silicone to save milk from leaks so I think I might try those this time as well.

It’s a must! I ended up with three so I’d have one handy with so many feedings/ pumping times. With my second I’ll bring it to the hospital with me!

It’s not really a pump but a cup that suctions to the boob you aren’t nursing from. When you nurse you have let downs and milk will leak from your other boob as well as the boob you are nursing from. I used one when I nursed my son and was amazed at the milk it collected while I nursed that would have otherwise went into a breast pad and been wasted. I highly recommend one! I loved mine and will use it again with this babe.

Mine got loads of use, loved it - but buy one with a lid or stopper, you don't wanna be spilling milk like I did 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s not a pump that much. I had an electric pump and haaka. Haaka mostly collect any milk from the second boob while you are feeding the baby. It’s useful not to waste any milk, and over time can get around 60ml from a boob. But it needs some skills to keep it attached. 
Electric pumps are easy  and faster but you do it after the feed. And it kinda “drains” rather then collect the overflow. ☺️ as they are both very different, I think there is place for both of them.

I have one and it was useful to use when feeding on one side I would pop it on the other and it would collect enough milk for my sons breakfast when we started weaning. I had also used it previously for collecting milk to freeze but he wont take a bottle so I dont bother expressing anymore. X
