Copper IUD Experience

Just putting this here in case someone is interested in knowing experience with the copper IUD. I've had my copper IUD for about 11.5 months now. My period patterns changed drastically after I've had it in me.

- I would "spot" for about 4 to 6 days before my actual period kicks in. This is what I call my "pre-period" phase. Usually I get cramps during the pre-period phrase, and the cramping pains can vary in "strength."

- When my actual period came, I would bleed LOT. My 10 hr foam pad lasts for about 5 to 6 hrs until it gets full.

- I haven't gotten pregnant. My fiance has been ejaculating me in every one of our "sessions.".

I'm overall satisfied with my copper IUD. If you have patience and pain endurance, then maybe this isn't so bad, at least considering the high protection rate.
