Sex work is real work

Ke

I’m in the midst of a heated debate (with a man 🙄) after he posted this.

I made a few points:

•Men are equally involved in the continuation of prostitution, so why is this only negative for women?

•We have an entire legal pornography industry where men and women get paid, an entire film crew gets paid, a website gets paid, and an individual pays to watch. Yet it’s considered nefarious to pay for consensual sex?

•Legal sex work has been successful in various areas of Nevada with little to no issue. Why could we not allow legitimate businesses to create safer environments for something men and women are already doing, tax it, and create more jobs?

Is there any legitimate reason, non religious affiliated, to argue against this?

Typical points I’m getting slammed with are the usual, “why not just legalize meth labs and pedophilia!” As if the two are somehow related? And “Its demoralizing to women!” Which is your opinion. If you’re demoralized by paying for sex, then don’t pay for sex.
