UK 20 week scans - will they write the gender down for me?

We found out today that regulations have changed and my partner is not allowed into my scan today. If I asked them to write the gender down for me, will they or are there certain rules?

Yep they should be able to do that no problem. I don’t think it matters where you live. It’s pretty standard they can do that for you.

When I went for mine partners weren’t allowed to the 12 week scan but were allowed for the last minute of the 20 week scan. I was told if I wanted to know the sex then they would tell me but not write it down. To be honest it even said that on the letter but I did question it further as I wanted to find out at the same time as my partner at home. We originally didn’t want to find out but then changed our mind the day of the scan when I found out my partner was able to come in at the end but because they wouldn’t write it down we were going to book a private scan but have  decided to wait until birth now
