I know It’s a lot to read but I’m really scared and would like some feedback.

So, I’m 19 years old and until yesterday I was a virgin. I was born prematurely, so I have a septate hymen. Instead of my vagina having a clean opening like this ( ) it has a think piece of skin in the middle creating 2 small openings like this (I). Hopefully, you get the idea.

My boyfriend and I had tried having sex before but we could never actually do it all the way because I was experiencing pain. With that in mind, while my boyfriend and I were working on it yesterday (we thought it was because I hadn’t been stretched out) we both felt a pop and it didn’t hurt to have sex anymore. When I used the restroom later that day I found that my septate hymen had broken at the bottom and there’s just a darkish red (now white at the top) thick piece hanging there. It hurts when I wipe myself after I use the restroom. And although it’s been a day, it’s still dripping watery brown/darkish red blood?

So my question is will it heal or will it continue to be painful until I get it removed? And do you think it could become infected?
