IUI SUCCESS!

I received the best news yesterday that my second cycle of

IUI

was a success!

My husband and I started ttc in 2017. I have PCOS & experienced irregular cycles and fluctuations in weight. Initially, my OB GYN prescribed metformin to regulate my periods (which worked well) I stopped the medication after a while because or the side effects but continued to eat better and exercise and my cycles stayed pretty regular. But after a year or so of trying with no success. I decided we needed a little bit more help.

My doctor then prescribed Fermara & timed intercourse which did not help at all. After 3 months of trying we were referred to an RE. We decided to go with

IUI

because of the cost compared to

IVF

.

My husband’s semen analysis came back with positive results and my tests came back normal. So we were diagnosed with “unexplained infertility”. They did prescribe vitamin D as this was low for me but otherwise all was good. The first attempt they found a cyst on my ovary and decided to wait until the next cycle I was devastated because I was excited to get started. The next cycle, everything went much better but no pregnancy. This last cycle everything seemed to align much better. I responded very well to the medicine and the timing of it all seemed perfect.

I promised myself I wouldn’t test at all during the tww. Monday I went in for the blood test and received the best call I’ve ever received that the pregnancy test was positive! ☺️ I return on Wednesday to ensure the numbers are continuing to double 🙏🏽 praying all continues to go well.

Update:

My second blood test (beta hcg) came back at 246! The first test was 96. Doctors says all looks great and I am scheduled for an ultrasound in 3 weeks.
