Early miscarriage contractions for 3 days normal?

Hi

Hi ladies please help. I am miscarrying an empty sac. That only grew to 7.3 weeks. No fetal pole or yolk sac ever detected. I’m 9.3 weeks now. I’ve been feeling sick for about 2 weeks now. Dizziness and headaches. But I felt better as soon as I started to bleed 3 days ago. The problem now is the on and off contractions. The contractions are hard and last for about 3 hours. I went to the doctor just to make sure things are fine. I was expecting him to tell me my uterus was empty. I passed some very large clots the very first day and have been bleeding fir 3 days now.

But we could see the gestational sac at the uterine entrance. He did an internal exam and said my cervix is barely open. So it either opened and has already closed or it’s still in the process of dilating.

When I asked him if my cervix had opened or not to pass the large clots his answer didn’t make much sense so I was left confused.

He wants me to be admitted to the hospital to be given misoprostol to open my cervix. And that if that did y work quick enough I’d be advices to get the D&C.

He said as long as I’m not bleeding heavily it’s safe to wait at home for my cervix to dilate and pass the remainder of the products of conception another two days max.

Has anyone had something like this happen or know of someone went through a similar situation?

As soon as he said the word spontaneous hemorrhage I freaked out. He says that’s the risk of waiting. I guess hemorrhaging is a risk in any pregnancy. I hemorrhaged last time I miscarried a year ago but I had taken misoprostol at home. And it was the most scariest experience of my life I thought I was going to die. I’m praying I can pass everything safely at home. I don’t like hospitals, especially not in this pandemic. I also wanted to avoid a D&C. I’ve had 4 already. 😭😞😓😓😭😭

Thank you❣️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
