Tattoo pain?

I am looking to get a medium size tattoo on my inner forearm. I know everyone has a different pain tolerance but for those who have tattoos here how was your experience and how was the pain? I’ve been looking up numb cream and I found dr numb. Has anyone used it before? I have a small tattoo on my finger already.

Pain differs from person to person.  I have tattoos on both forearms.  Both of them didn’t hurt much except for my Welsh dragon on my inside wrist.  It was the only one that hurt like a MF.  That wrist/arm has been broken twice before so I knew what I was getting into when it came to that part of my sleeve.  
Just recently I got a tattoo on the top of my foot and that didn’t hurt at all.

I have tattoos on both forearms. They were among the least painful of my tattoos. But it’s going to be different for everybody. 
In regards to numbing cream, most artists only use it after they’ve started tattooing, not before, so I personally wouldn’t make a prior investment.

I didn’t think my forearm area was too painful. Also I’ve used a cream by tattoo numbing cream co and I didn’t feel anything. I used to to finish an incredibly painful tattoo too.

Mine are a few years old and need to be touched up but the mandala is on my forearm and the scorpion is on the other side. I also have some on my legs and bicep and hip. But my tattoo artists usually put on numbing cream before they start. I honestly didn’t think the arms hurt that bad at all, the legs hurt more in my opinion. I think I just freaked myself out thinking it’d hurt but when I got it I almost fell asleep lol. I think you’ll be okay! :)
