Any tips on how to become more independent faster?

I’m 26 years old and still live with my parents 
I’m trying to save money by living with them and so is my boyfriend. 
I hope to move out soon honestly like sometime next year. 
I have almost 12000 saved but I don’t make a ton. I make around 45000 and have student loans. 
Not sure how people do it and just would like some tips. I’m saving I good amount of money each paycheck and just want to be in the right direction.

Just move out. Take the leap. You never really feel like you’re completely ready for big changes so you just kind of do it. I actually moved out at your age, with very little saved, making the same kind of money as you and it was the best thing for me. I have way more money saved now and making a lot more and still have student loans. I looked for a place that was relatively cheap (not easy to do in NY). Looking back, I wish I had moved out sooner. It gave me more confidence, privacy, and finally felt like my own person

If being at home is not an issue for you or your boyfriend why move yet? 
Invest your money, open account that make money on your money to just sit in that account. 
If you want to move out create a plan of what your bills would be monthly and what you can put away for savings. My rule I have always stuck too is putting atleast 20% of my paycheck away every time it comes in. You can even set it up that way everytime you get paid. 
Keep your money seperate from eachother as well if you decide to move in together. 
Just my advice, I started saving like that since my first job and let me tell you I'm 24 and feel more powerful then my parents 😂 
*Also moving out and getting a house is not such a bad idea either you will build good credit and that you cannot buy.

I moved out with less than 10k in a small home. Just make the move and be efficient. There’s plenty of ways to still save and pay your bills
