Anyone holding off on ALL visits (even grandparents) for a little more than usual?

I've seen that people will still allow grandparents to come over soon, but not everyone else. Am I being too much asking that all family wait? I feel like there's bound to be hurt feelings...it's not my first winter baby and I know that this pandemic isn't ending any time soon. All any of us can do is take precautions...but I just don't feel comfortable with anyone visiting within the first month.
Is that too much?

Nope. I feel exactly the same. It’s going to be hard telling my mother no. She’s already excited and talking about kidnapping him. Like lady.... no lol

My mum and sister have always been part of my bubble, my sis works from home and has all her shopping delivered, my mum works as a care worker for 1 person so we’ve always stayed in contact with visiting each other the whole way through the pandemic. We’ve all been fine because we don’t go here there and everywhere so I’m happy with them being part of his life as soon as he’s born although they have said for the first few months they would prefer to wear a mask around him 💙 xxx

I would say that if anybody wanted to visit they’d need to properly isolate for 2 weeks beforehand. Otherwise it’d be outdoor meet ups  only and no touching the baby. 
I’m in London and we’re in lockdown again atm so they aren’t actually allowed to visit anyway. You’re allowed to meet with one other person for exercise (a walk in the park) so I’ll meet nearby friends for walks so they can meet her but won’t be letting anybody touch or hold her.
My mum is actually a single person living alone so qualifies to join a bubble with me. She is going to self isolate (like me and my husband will be doing) 2 weeks before my due date to be extra careful and then she can come and visit. It’s so tough right now. Being pregnant/having a baby during a pandemic is so crazy! Xx

My parents are coming from nj the day of birth but they are getting tested beforehand to be careful

We may get lucky. We are due dec 9 but it looks like baby will very likely be having him next week or thanksgiving week at the latest due to BP issues. We planned on having the first visitor 2 weeks after he was born (my mom but she keeps to herself) and his family about a month and a half out from birth (if on time a month if later) but since he’s likely coming early I told everyone they can come at the same predetermined times. I don’t want them earlier so it gives us more leeway because after I agreed to this I got an overwhelming feeling of anxiety about him getting sick. I’m hoping we can have his 2 month appointment before they actually come but it’ll be cutting it close.

Not at all, we are not having any visitors until baby gets her first round of immunizations. My priority is my newborn child not grown adults. It’s nothing personal, but if anyone on either side of the family makes it personal then that’s their problem to deal with not mine 🤷🏻‍♀️.

My husband and I live with his parents so there's really no choice on that but my parents are waiting until Christmas to meet her because we are traveling to them this year anyway.  She will be about 6 weeks by then since I'm being I duced tonight.

We’re doing 2 weeks after she’s born before first visitors. People’s actual timing will depending on their quarantining/testing plans.

We are either seeing them 2 to 3 weeks after baby is born or waiting until June to travel we are playing it by ear with case numbers rising where our families live.
