My baby is about 6 weeks old and both my husband and I are haitain american. She is complete breast feed and my mother in law has been hounding me about giver her water. Lately she had some gas and we gived her some has drops that seems to work, however my mother in law is telling me that she needs to do some special tea with clove and sugar that will "clean her out" and she wont be gassy anymore.

I'm trying to be respectful and not be rude but I know when I return to work she will be watching the baby and will be doing what she want.

I need some help because my patience is running low.

Update: my mother and law called my husband and I'm so proud of him, he basically told her we will be what the doctor recommended for the baby because this is our baby, we will listen to your advice but we don't have to take it.

I'm glad he say something because this was starting to take a toll on our relationship. I'm schedule to go back to work 11/30.

I will look into daycare.
