Baby Shower for my 2nd my first is 9 yo

We’ve been trying over 8 years for our 2nd. My son (stepson) is 12, daughter is 9. We went through a couple miscarriages and I had a log of health issues. Ladies at my church have been messaging me asking me if I plan on having a shower. I honestly hadn’t even thought about it. I’m trying to reuse what we can and finding and buying inexpensive things as we go. Ironically 9 years ago I found our stroller on sale and the company that makes it even still makes adaptors for up to date car seats so we’re good there. What do you all think. Is a shower unreasonable? Thanks.
