I need some insight

So my bf let my mom use his vehicle well a lady slammed on her brakes to avoid hitting a cat my mom rear ended the lady and now both cars a totaled. Now the car was in my name and I made most of the payments until recently he started paying them the entire year he's had the car he has only made like 4 payments on it and I had to pickup the slack for the rest so I wouldn't get a repo on my credit becasue he couldn't keep a job. He also couldn't afford to keep insurance on it so at the time of the accident there was no insurance luckly because my mom was driving and she has insurance geico was able to cover the vehicle thank God because that could of turned out way worse. Well now he wants a new car as anyone should but my dilemma is I don't want to get him another vehicle in my name I don't want to have to deal with the stress of paying something for him because he won't keep a job. He's being super picky and trying to find the exact same car he's not even looking at options to try and find a second chance place to get a car in his name. He's pisssd at me because I don't want to get another vehicle for him in my name. Yes he has a right to be upset he keep trying to make me feel bad. He doesn't realize I already feel bad about the situation. I offered to help him put money down on another vehicle but he literally wants me to just ne okay with getting the vehicle in my name. I also have had the same car since 2016 I wanted to get a new car for me during income tax.

Sorry this is long. But what would you do also it would be great of anyone knew second chance car place.
