Anyone using egg donation??

Hi ladies! We had our first

IVF

cycle cancelled due to poor response. My AMH was 0.4 last September 2019 but has not been checked in over a year. ( stupid covid)

We tried the low stim protocol last month in an effort to get a couple of good quality eggs.. which resulted in only one follicle that measured at 10 on day 10 of stims. My estrogen levels also froze once I started stims, only 26 on day 10. My lining was only a 4.6 on day 10 also..

I just had surgery to remove my blocked/hydrosalpinx tubes, drain a large cyst in left ovary, and removed stage 3 endo in September of this year.

My doctor said we can try again ( I am in provera to induce a period as I type this) She said that we can max out the Menopur and Follistim and try one more cycle. If that cycle is cancelled also, then we would need to move on to embryo or egg donation.

Originally we really wanted to try again with my eggs but after crunching the numbers, we are thinking the best next step would be to invest in egg donation. I have no issue with the child not being biologically mine. We have been dealing with infertility for over six years and I just want to have a baby. I really just want to carry a child.

Has anyone used donor eggs and been successful?

We have an appointment with our RE in two days and I would love to hear any experiences.

EDIT TO ADD- those of you who have done egg donation. What does the time frame look like? Would we still be able to do a cycle with donor eggs next month?
