What is considered a miscarriage ?

I know what a miscarriage is, but I also found out about chemical pregnancy. Do you count that as a miscarriage too?

A chemical pregnancy is an early form of miscarriage, it’s called a chemical pregnancy because the pregnancy is only known in a hcg blood or urine test and not through an ultrasound. So the difference between them is just the duration of the pregnancy. With a miscarriage, your further along and is seen on ultrasound. Chemical is more getting a positive pregnancy test than it turning negative.
