So for the past week my baby has been eating for a much shorting time each session. After we got passed the first month of life she was pretty regularly eating for 15-25 mins. More recently alternating breasts each session for 15 mins. Well the last week she had only been eating 8-12 mins. Sometimes 5 at night when she’s really sleepy. I just assumed she was getting very efficient. Well last night she completely refused my breasts before bedtime (granted she was very much overtired) I knew she was hungry so I gave her a 4 oz bottle of pumped milk and she scarfed it down like she was starving. After that our 2 middle of the night feedings were normal. Now today she is basically refusing my left breast (it’s my slacker but i tested it and I literally squirted across the room). I’ve been able to get her on it for maybe 3 mins and then I give her my right which she takes for maybe 5-8 mins. Idk what’s going on. She’s having normal wet and dirty diapers. I’m not having any pain and I couldn’t see anything resembling thrush. But I don’t think she’s eating enough. She hadn’t seemed overly fussy like she’s starving. But this last feeding she wasnt satisfied and wouldn’t stay on my breast so I had to give bottle . I want to protect my supply so I’m trying to pump . Any insight?
