Any tricks for bad teething??

My 14 months old is having very hard time teething, not sleeping well at night, grumpy all day, not eating or drinking, high fever, she has 4 coming through at the same time, one is already out 😞

Have you tried Tylenol? How high is the fever? Teething shouldn't cause a fever to be super high from what I was told

It’s really hard but she will just have to tough it out.  Try Tylenol, drinking lots of fluids, popsicles might help for short periods of time.  Give lots of cuddles, let her sleep, try to get her to play so she will be distracted.  My son was 16 months when he got all four first molars at the same time and it was a nightmare.  He was fussy, then came the elevated temp and lots of diarrhea.  He tried so hard to be happy.  The higher temp and diarrhea only lasted for about a day and a half, then it was just huge meltdowns and crying fits.  It went on all night for two nights and off and on all day for a few days.  Then it seemed to get better and now it’s just a very unpleasant memory for his dad and I.  He is 25 months now and his 2nd molars are starting to cut now and we would have no idea based on his behavior.  Hope she starts feeling better soon.  It will pass.

A high fever would not be from teething. Keep her comfortable with Tylenol or Motrin every 4-6 hours for the worst of it, there’s no need for her to be miserable and in pain when it can be somewhat prevented.
