When did you transition from infant to convertible car seat?

At what age or what weight did you transition to a convertible car seat? I realize they have weight limits but my LO is getting pretty heavy in her infant seat 😅

5 months my lo hated the car seat so thought it would help but nope he just hates being strapped in

We did it around 10 months or so. Just when it got to be too heavy to carry. Just make sure to g et a convertible seat that is rear facing for a decent amount of time, at least 40lbs.

When my daughter could walk and the infant seat was no longer necessary to make getting in the car easy. So for us it was at her first birthday, but that was in April and do Corona helped to push that back I’m sure.

9 months. She technically still fit in her infant seat but was only a couple inches from the height limit and I wanted to be proactive.

11 months. She still fit in the seat but she was very heavy to carry around

Around 3-4 months with my oldest, and around 5months with my youngest.

8m with my oldest, my youngest is still in it. He’s 4mo & he weighs more than my oldest at 6m so idk how much longer he’ll be in it 😂.

6 months because I couldn’t carry babe in her seat anymore due to my wrists. I think they’ll be more comfortable that way vs waiting and the child being stuffed like a sausage in a tiny seat.
