Is it safe?

Don’t judge me, I’m asking because I want to make sure it’s safe. Is it safe for babies to sleep with a hat on? I know in the hospital they put my little one in a hat and didn’t say they couldnt sleep with it on but now that he’s older (9 weeks) is it still safe?

It’s actually advised to not do hats for unsupervised sleep. Babies can overheat in sleep which can cause death and they’re also a choking hazard.

Technically not safe. We did it for the first few weeks because it was how they had her in the hospital and we just did the same thing at home. But then I read that it wasn’t sleep safe (it can come off and get in their face). Best to go without it.

I would think no in case the hat moved off her head and over her face.

At 9 weeks baby can regulate their temperature well enough to not need a hat indoors.
