Can single dad's get WIC?

My best friend gas has custody of his daughter pretty much since she was born. Baby mama was on drugs and they found drugs in the baby's system so she was automatically taken away. He's been strugglingly a bit. I've heard people who use WIC. But since it stands for Women Infant Children, I was wondering if single dads are allowed to use it?

In our state, any caregiver of a child under 5 are eligible to apply. So moms, dads, grandparents, foster parents, etc.

I would also go to welfare, get food stamps, wic, They also have state funded daycare so he can get a job and go back to work, free or reduced lunch for children of school-age, section 8 housing, transitional housing, Medicaid for insurance, tanf temporary assistance for needy families, SSI, there are some other programs, but I will check with welfare in your area like children’s future, they can help with diapers and toys and clothing, every state has different places California has baby to baby they provide diapers and lately used car seats and strollers and things like that you may also be able to get things like that from Goodwill. Or check Facebook marketplace often times people are getting rid of things because their kids outgrow them like car seats or high chairs etc.￼.  I wish you luck it’s hard to be a single parent.

Idk but if not there are so many people who can help with food ,clothes and all kinds of things . They give vouchers
