Are STEM degrees harder than humanities degrees? (your opinion)

STEM = science, technology, engineering, mathematics 
Not to imply that one is more important than the other! Just wondering if you find one to be "more challenging" as STEM is often perceived as a difficult path to take.
And because many have a hard time finding the confidence to apply to STEM because they don't feel "smart enough".

As a woman in engineering I didn’t find the content hard while I do find the content/expectations in some humanities courses to be difficult. 
What I think is the most challenging was being a women in engineering in and of itself. You have to work 100x harder than the guys for less recognition. I had a friend that was smarter than the guys. Published papers in journals while in undergrad as first author and she was ignored by the professors and job recruiters. 
In the humanities I feel like there is more equity between men and women. At least from what I could tell from my friends in humanities fields. 
I think hard is relative. My brain is wired for STEM so that wasn’t what was hard to me.

Both are difficult to different people according to their strengths. The word “difficult” is relative.

Different things will be more or less difficult for different people. Some people find more concrete STEM ideas easier to digest and other people are better at more abstract thoughts which may require more of an emotional intelligence.

I think there can be a lot of overlap that is often not recognized between the Humanities and STEM. I was a Dance major in college and the assumption was that I just got to dance around all day. But the reality is that several of my upper level classes were in the science department. I took Anatomy and Physiology. I took a Gross Anatomy course on the action, origin, and insertion of all the major muscles in the human body. I took a course on how to care for athletic injuries. And one about proper nutrition. On top of all that it was physically challenging with all the choreography and movement classes I was taking. Not to mention the history of art and dance and Labanotation courses that were also required.

I'm a stem student (geophysics/geology) and to me stem is harder than humanities. I struggled for a long time doubting whether I should push myself to go into stem since I'm not "naturally good at it". I'd probably have it easier if I had settled for humanities but I love what I do now, even if it requires a lot of effort. And I'm getting better at what I do.
But it surely works the other way around for many people. My boyfriend is exceptionally skilled at mathematics (he even won a national math competition years back 🥰) but not very good at art history, to give an example. Likes to learn about humanities but dislikes studying humanities, it just doesn't click. 
So I believe it really depends on who you ask, how their brain is wired, and what motivates them.

I consider the humanities harder. In STEM the right answer will always be the same, in the humanities it’s a lot more open to interpretation.

everyone handles things differently. my bf is a cs major and genuinely struggled a lot with his humanities/arts classes for general ed, whereas for other majors might find his classes incredibly difficult. i think all majors are challenging to some degree even if you're good at it, bc that's the whole point of paying for a class, imo: to learn and be challenged in a way that makes you grow as a student.
