Painful hips while sleeping

Does anyone else’s hips almost feel bruised from laying on their sides only all night? I have a pregnancy pillow and my mattress is fairly new as well. This is a new sensation all together.

Like this but I tuck it a little more toward the bum... obviously we need to sleep on our sides so I still sleep with pillow like this and another pillow in between my legs (a smaller one) sometimes I will put a pillow behind my back so I can roll backward onto it a little so I’m laying more toward my back just to relief some of the pressure and weight being put on the ligaments. I swear it was the only thing that worked without taking anti inflammatory meds or pay for all the other expensive remedies... like a specialist and stuff (although that would actually be a great help too) TRY THIS! I have no more inflammation... sometimes I still get pain if I don’t sleep like this and I will prop my legs into this position and get a good nights rest and the pain is gone.

Gosh, same. It’s ridiculous. I toss and turn all night, trading pain on each side. I’m pretty sure the only end in sight is child birth. Haha.

Yes! The pain carries throughout the day as well.

Yes I had inflamed ligaments. What I found to work for me is to put a pillow under my legs and also one in between. With the pillow under your legs (next to your hipster or just bellow your bum) it is lifting them from your hips and giving them some support as your sleep. I found this has helped me so much.

Pillow in between my legs didn’t help I needed to get my legs in a position that it wouldn’t be pulling on the ligaments in my hips as I slept. So def try it! I hope I described it well enough for you. But it most def helped me!

I may try the under the hip thing. I have a pregnancy pillow and love it but haven’t tried that position yet!

I have the same issue most nights. I usually have to roll to the other side in order to keep the pain away on either side. I also went to the chiropractor to adjust my hips which helped as well.

So worth it!

Yes! Bro in law is a chiropractor and he is going to adjust me on Thanksgiving and start another routine with him. Helps with birth as well!

I sleep on the couch where I can put my hips at the cushion crease. Same couch from my last pregnancy.
