How long after IUD insertion should you wait? I just got mine and am unsure. Dr said I can resume normal activity but I wouldn’t exactly classify that as normal

I got my Copper IUD on Oct.1 , I got my period on time in October. I was supposed to start on Wednesday, but it’s 4 days late. 
Should I be worried about being pregnant? 
How long should I wait to take a test? 
I’ve been under a lot of stress this month ... advice please:)

Copper is literal poison for sperm so yes enjoy it but always have a conversation about what you would do if you happened to get pregnant in that 1% chance and make sure you are both comfortable with each others answers or else imo its not worth the risk. Even with that slim chance it still could happen to anyone at any time!
