I’m sure I’m overthinking, but what should I do *read discription

My whole life I’ve been an average student. I’d rate myself like a 6. Growing up no one ever instilled the importance of an education to me. Like it’s actually really fucked up.. but anyways.. I recently decided I want to go to college for nursing but then I think can I do it? Like maybe I’m not smart enough. School is not cheap, I don’t want to waste so much money and time just to actually get into nursing school and hate it, then just quit there. I know I really want it and I’m ready for the workload I’m just scared of failing. Because really you have to look at major life decisions through all angles. Any advice, I’d appreciate.
