Pack n play as a bassinet?

Has anyone used a pack n play as their bassinet? How did it work out?

Last time we used a Halo and as much as I loved it, we got rid of it after my son grew out of it because it was so heavy and bulky so we didn’t want to store it. This time I don’t want to buy any unnecessary items, so I’m thinking about just using a pack n play as our bassinet. The thing is I’ll be having another c-section so would it work for that as well? Do you have a favorite pack n play that you liked? It’s either that or a bedside sleeper that can fold down for storage. I’m so torn on what to do. Help!
