My husband and I flew back to our hometown for thanksgiving and we’ve been hanging w/ his fam. He returned home but I’m staying here a little longer and his mom was saying hopefully I come around still. This is always an issue when I come back to our hometown alone. She expects me to go over but doesn’t invite me (we don’t have the best relationship). Wouldn’t it make more sense for her to invite me or should I just pop up? Also, my brother in laws’ girlfriends are always at his mom’s house having BBQs and drinking and never invite me. They even have a group chat that they didn’t include me in. Even the last day my hubby was here, they were talking about making something to eat later and getting drunk. And not once did they include me or ask me if I wanted to join them after I drop my husband off at the airport. I’m the type that if I’m not included or invited to something then I won’t go. Should I just tell them to add to their group chat, and just invite myself to these family get togethers?
