Tonight I set up the elf to look like he's trying to sneak the first chocolate out of the advent calendar. Tomorrow he'll have a pen and paper for us to write Christmas lists with, then he'll be gone for 2 days "delivering" it, then he'll come back covered in fake snow because the north pole is cold. After that I'm not sure 😂

My son is 3 so this is my first year! But I have a weird complex about Santa and Christmas thanks to my mother (it's a long story). So although I'm trying really hard for my kids I'm not totally comfortable with the idea of Santa so we're doing Christmas Fairies.
I told him the Christmas fairies will move his elf, play pranks, and bring gifts if he's good.

I’m not clever enough to come up with the different places to move the elf every day. I have considered just buying the Elf and keeping it in the dining room to encourage my daughter to actually eat her food.
