I went to the Er early this morning because I was having stomach pains. The pain started to the right of my belly button, and gradually got worse over 4 hours. I actually yelped when I stood up out of bed because standing up hurt so bad! Then, it spread to my lower left abdomen, and the lower left side of my back hurt.

I thought perhaps, that I was pregnant. The first day of my last period was 6 weeks ago today, and I’ve never just skipped a period.

I’m guessing I’m not pregnant, because they gave me a cat scan. They told me I have a very small amount of blood in my urine, but my kidneys looked fine. They said it must be a UTI, but Its just starting?

So They gave me no antibiotics, and sent me on my way. They told me to call back if it gets worse.

I’m confused because I have no pain when I use the restroom. No burning, no itching, no fowl smell. My partner and I are both very clean, and I only drink carbonated water, or coffee.

Here I am today, still feeling pain around my bellybutton, and in my lower abdomen. No period, no itching, no burning, it doesn’t hurt to urinate, and I’m not constipated.

I really just don’t know what to do. I’ve read UTI’s get worse so you’ve got to treat them as soon as you catch it, but I’m also not getting any of those other symptoms, and they didn’t seem concerned because they didn’t give me a prescription for antibiotics.

Should I visit another er? Can a UTI cause you to completely skip your period? We have been having unprotected sex, and I’ve been feeling nauseous through this whole week. I don’t have a doctor, or health insurance so an ER is my only choice.
