IVF a waste if you had recurrent pregnancy loss?

Please share your experience, I am just having a hard time believing it’ll work after multiple consecutive losses...

I had the same concerns. Obviously I could get pregnant, I just couldn't maintain a pregnancy. All the testing came back normal. My RE suggested trying ivf, he said at a minimum he could watch the embryos grow and hopefully learn more. My first transfer was successful!!! I had 2 MC around the 6-7 week mark which were conceived naturally. I had 2 chemicals with iui. We ended up with 5 blasts (never got the grades). We did not do pgs testing because it wasn't covered by insurance and couldn't afford it. I transferred 2, and while I unfortunately MC one of the twins around 7 weeks, the other was born perfectly healthy. She'll be 1 on 12/30 and we still have 3 to hopefully give her a sibling. Still no answer as to why I had so many losses, and while they are absolutely soul crushing to experience, I would try everything and go through anything to have my daughter. No regrets. I have had 5 MCS. Of course IVF doesn’t guarantee you’ll have a baby but after my 3rd ivf round& we genetically tested our embryos I am now 30+5 weeks pregnant. They do a lot of testing when you go threw ivf. I have unexplained infertility&pcos. My doc put me on lovenox&baby aprin (both blood thinners) I don’t have any blood clotting disorder and I don’t know if it was that& testing the embryos that helped. W/e it was I thank god it did..don’t loose hope. IVF worked for me& it could for you also. Wishing you the best on your journey

Like another person said, it really depends on why you’re miscarrying. If it’s due to poor embryo quality, IVF is absolutely worth it for you. Your hormones are also stringently regulated from start to finish, so you’re at an advantage if it’s due to your body failing to maintain them properly. There are other medications that can be tried with IVF that can tamp down your immune system or whatever else needs regulated, too. 
If you haven’t already done a genetic test on you and your SO, you should consider it to find out if there may be a reason before investing a ton into IVF. Also, have any possible sperm fragmentation issues been mentioned?

I understand your struggle to remain positive. I am struggling with the same. Had 3 losses in ten months. Two fresh and one FET. Please ask your RE to run recurrent loss or implantation blood panel. It could have been the embryos being chromosomaly compromised or some blood clotting,autoimmune issue. Last two are treated with medication once diagnosed. The embryo quality is down to luck. Eventually one will be normal. You just need to keep trying. If there is implantation issue or early pregnancy issue not ruled out it can we waste as embryos will keep being starved or attacked.  Rule these first prior to doing next ivf. You can also test the embryos if you have more than 2.
