Preemie nipples ok for one month old?

Is it okay for my one month old son to use preemie nipples? He wasn’t a preemie or needing to use it for any other reason than the fact that he eats way too fast out of size 1 nipples. He will complete a whole feeding in less than ten minutes and results in spit up and lots of gas. I’ve tried everything else. Is there any negative effects to using preemie size?

Preemie might be too slow but definitely try newborn size nipples. My son was a 6 week preemie and the preemie nipples frustrated him because they were so slow even for him. He stayed on the newborn sized nipples until he was about 11 weeks old and is now fine with size 1

As long as he’s not struggling to eat out of them they’re fine. Slow flow is what’s best for infants.

I still use size 0 and he is 2 months on Friday

We use size 0 and she is one month old.  Way better for all the reasons you mentioned.
