Does this mean I’m going to miscarry?

I’m 5 weeks 3 days pregnant. Mild nausea which is weird for me since I had hyperemesis with my daughter. I got my HCG levels checked last week on 11/23 and they were at 1743. Which my doctor said was excellent. I was 4 weeks 2 days when I got them checked. I’ve taken a lot of tests because I wanted to see the pregnancy line (left line)get darker. Which it has up until today. The control line (right) is darker than the previous few tests. Does that mean my HCG levels are dropping? I’m so nervous to miscarry.

I think it’s described as a line stealer. Your hcg levels are so high that the line indicating that your pregnant steals the dye from the control line. No way is it a sign you’ll miscarry

You should stop testing. You’re creating worry within yourself. Just trust your body to do what it’s supposed to do. 
I know it’s hard to do, but the more you stress the harder on your body it is. Remember, baby can feel EVERYTHING you feel.

Okay, I'm going to give you 3 things: information, hard truth, and encouragement. 
Line progression as measured on home pregnancy tests is not an accurate or reliable way of measuring your hormone levels (line darkness can be affected by the test itself, how diluted your urine is, time of day, etc.); only a blood test can confirm if hormone levels are rising appropriately. There's also something called the "hook effect" where the lines start fading the further you get into pregnancy and can make you worry you're miscarrying when everything is fine. Getting dark or light lines on a home pregnancy test does NOT guarantee everything is fine - just that you currently are or recently have been pregnant (even after a miscarriage, women still get positive tests for a while). Miscarriage is unfortunately extremely common (1 in 4 pregnancies), especially within the first trimester. You can have beautiful lines on a home test and perfect blood results, and still miscarry. Unfortunately, until after the "age of viability around 24 weeks of gestation there is little to nothing you or a medical provider can do yo prevent a miscarriage. It sucks, but it's the truth. At this point, you are just wasting money on tests and increasing your own anxiety.
Here's my encouragement: odds are that everything will be fine with your pregnancy, so just assume that everything is going well until/unless you learn otherwise from a medical provider. Gestational anxiety is a real thing (I had it with my first pregnancy), so you may want to look into that and learn some relaxation techniques and/or meet with a counselor. I know it's hard to just trust that things will work out, but I encourage you to do exactly that. To give yourself an incentive, maybe put some money aside for each test you don't buy/use to get something fun for yourself or that baby! Worry less so that you can enjoy the experience of pregnancy as much as you can!

No, these tests are not made to detect hcg levels. These tests aren’t always exact duplicates of each other, which means sometimes they show up lighter or darker, just depending on the individual test. With how dark the line is I wouldn’t worry about it. If you’re really scared, ask your doctor if they can check your levels. But if doesn’t sound like you have any reason to worry just based on these tests.

I don’t trust FRER with line progression at all. Similar thing happened to me, I had a dye stealer last week, took another over the weekend and while the test line was still dark the control line was darker than previous. Got myself in a panic, went for a scan today and everything is measuring perfectly

There is a thing call the hook effect. It basically means that once your HCG gets too high, the home pregnancy tests start to look lighter. 
I would definitely stop testing and try to get a blood test if you’re worried! You are very much pregnant! ❤️
