Need to rant on this
I’m 38 weeks pregnant and have heard my entire pregnancy things like
“You’re so small” *my personal favorite bcus You literally cannot win being pregnant you’re either too big or too small and everyone feels the need to comment about it*
“You shouldn’t be working out it’s not safe for your baby”
“You should just eat whatever you want, you’re pregnant.” *while I was doing my best to treat my baby and my body right with all of the good nutrients*
“You’re baby is going to tiny.” *this one makes me cringe*
Well I let it get to me a few weeks ago after coming down with covid at 31 weeks, and then having a Pre term labor scare from all the stress a few weeks later. I was ill, fragile, scared, pretty much bedridden and not grocery shopping/cooking so I loaded up on the takeout eating whatever whenever, food I didn’t even want but thought I needed because I couldn’t stop thinking about everyone’s comments.
And now i realize how silly it was of me. All it did was make me feel even worse and more ill. I’m back on track now and finally getting my head on right after all of that stress and I am starting to feel normal again. I regret letting those people get to me so bad and not maintaining the right diet for my baby and myself.
Not sure where I’m going with this but just wanted to say if you are hearing these awful comments please don’t listen to them ! Trust your body and believe in your baby’s strength to grow! You can be active in exercise and eat a healthy diet and still have a healthy baby !
