Do you bedshare with a newborn? I know were not suppose to, but....🤷‍♀️ it happens

I'm not judging people who do. But we don't.
We have co-slept in the couch a few times in the beginning. We follow his needs, he needed to feel us while sleeping back then, later he needed a calm bed. We all make decisions that fit us, our children and our lives, I don't think we should judge eachother for such choices as long as they're not actually harmful or damaging to children.

I know it's frowned upon but sometimes it was the only way I could get us any sleep at all. I did everything I could to minimize risk but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. There were times I was so sleep deprived I almost dropped her while carrying her up the stairs... also not particularly safe so 🤷‍♀️

I did with both of my children.
Mostly slept with them on my chest.
I would prop myself up so I basically slept in a sitting position.
It worked for us 🤷🏻‍♀️
I plan on doing it for my third baby as well.

Never once did, and never will. And my daughter was a terrible sleeper when she was a newborn. But I never gave in. 2 years later and she’s still a great sleeper.

It doesn't just 'happen', like it seems like you're saying.  
It's fine if you do.   I'm not here to talk you out of it.   But it's something that you can avoid.

I did with my son. Im a very light sleeper and breastfed I was always aware of him. I’m not planning to this time reallly determined not to. It’s just really uncomfortable and my toddler still wakes up and climbs into bed with me so I don’t feel it’s safe at all with him in bed as well.

My first was a HORRIBLE sleeper she’s almost 2 and still doesn’t sleep well and some nights the only way to get sleep was to sleep with her or let her sleep in her bouncer I was becoming way more dangerous being sleep deprived I even once almost fed her a bottle of just water!

I shared the bed with my first, but it was just us at that time. It was literally the only way I’d be able to sleep. With my other two children I would sometimes accidentally fall asleep feeding them in bed during those early hours wake ups for super short spurts, but I avoid co sleeping now because it was kinda tough getting my first child to sleep in her own room when it came time. 🙈
