IUD Removal

Hey Ladies!!

I have a quick question. So I'm getting my mirena IUD removed tomorrow afternoon & I'm curious on the process of how they do it & the pain level when I have no strings. 3 weeks after getting it inserted last April, my string were hanging out so my OB said he "cut them off" I haven't felt any strings so, has anyone had one removed with either strings that were cut off or missing?
