PSA: IVF success (acupuncture/whole30)

I know this isn’t necessarily something that will work for everyone but I really wanted to share my experience after 2 failed IVF cycles. We recently completed our 3rd cycle and it was a night and day difference and I only changed 2 things (even the protocol was identical to my last cycle.) Quick history- we have male factory infertility from a failed vasectomy reversal and some other unknown factors. First cycle we had 11 eggs retrieved, 2 fertilized (fresh sample) and one made it to blast. Unfortunately the fresh transfer was not successful with our only embryo. Second cycle we changed to antagonist protocol. 19 eggs retrieved, 7 mature and 1 made it to blast. No success with FET. Going in to my third cycle I figured there wasn’t much a could lose trying some alternative approaches. My husband and I both did Whole30 3 months prior to starting and then my sister encouraged me to try acupuncture. I’m not sure if either of these things played a role but the results of my third cycle were 36 eggs retrieved, 27 mature, 22 fertilized! Still waiting on day 5 results for the final numbers. I’m not saying this is the magical cure or it will work for everyone but it certainly can’t hurt if you are feeling like you want additional options. Also, I somehow avoided OHSS which my doctor said I was an extremely high risk for.
